It was an opportunity to learn anything I wanted about the oil field and the trades. The best part was learning to network in order to learn how to do different jobs.
What I wish was different
I wish there had been a better intern program or a clearer objective or goal to accomplish over the summer there.
Advice
This experience is entirely what you make it. You can have a great time and learn some invaluable skills or you can isolate yourself and learn nothing. The best advice I can give is to shadow lots of people and get involved in projects and educational opportunities. Make your own goals and objectives.
