Conservation Education Specialist - King Conservation District

This is an AmeriCorps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. To serve in AmeriCorps you must be a U.S. citizenU.S. national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States. Please do not inquire if you do not meet these requirements.

The Conservation Education Specialist supports King Conservation District's efforts to encourage stewardship of our natural lands. Duties include: 

  • Plan and facilitate natural resource educational events.
  • Develop materials to support education events and projects.
  • Organize the NW regional Envirothon competition, including recruiting high school participants and volunteer experts, serving on regional organizing, leading event day logistics, and promoting event.
  • Write and produce educational videos and webinars.
  • Join in staff meetings and trainings and serve on the Education Team.

Monthly stipend: $3,561

About Us

King Conservation District (KCD) is a nonregulatory special purpose district. The Conservation Education Program promotes voluntary stewardship of natural resources. We connect community members to education and resources to improve conservation practices on private land. The member will help us achieve our goals by promoting, planning, and leading education events, recruiting participants and volunteers, and developing resources.
