Graphic Design Intern

Bloodbath Studio is an Austin-based, fashion forward production house committed to elevating craftsmanship and inclusivity standards in the creative industry. We are a network of creatives pushing the fashion narrative, highlighting Texas’ influence on a global scale.

By centering BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ perspectives in its creative processing and leadership, Bloodbath Studio works to provide the infrastructure for underrepresented creatives to exhibit their work. Job Description

The graphic design intern will collaborate directly with Bloodbath’s in-house creative team and creative contractors to create captivating, visual content that elevates our mixed-medium, fashion-forward movement.

We are looking for a multi-faceted, artistically inspired intern who is looking to expand their portfolio in the editorial fashion and film industry. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and collaborate on graphic elements with Bloodbath’s Creative Editors for all of Bloodbath’s promotional and merchandising content
    • This includes content in any of the following mediums: logo work for merchandising, posters, flyers, pamphlets, event signage, etc.
  • Collaborate closely with various departmental teams to understand organizational campaign objectives, target audiences, and messaging strategies.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly creative brainstorming sessions, offering ideas and input that contribute to product and organization improvement.

  • Unpaid - We at Bloodbath Studio understand the strenuous conditions of unpaid labor, and in response, we work actively to assure our interns receive mutually related benefits, relevant to their needs and interests. We will meet with each intern to discuss their career goals and organize a curriculum that accommodates their response and their schedule.
  • Remote or hybrid role in Central Texas
  • Must commit to attending a minimum of one weekly creative team meeting on Tuesday or Thursday morning from 9:30-11:00 AM.
  • Potential to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Stay up to date with the latest design trends, tools, and best practices in digital marketing and incorporate them into creative strategies.

  • Strong sense of self-awareness and creative capacity.
  • Portfolio showcasing proficiency in creating visually compelling designs for both creative and marketing purposes.

Qualifications, Preferred 

  • Knowledge of digital marketing concepts and strategies with an eager to expand your current knowledge.
  • Interest in practicing inclusive or immersive design.
