Work Study: CNS Outpost Assistant
The CNS Outpost location serves and provides food accessibility to the entirety of the CNS student body. We offer “grab-n-’go” style food, perfect for a snack in between classes or a quick easy-to-make meal for lunch as well as various toiletries. We aim to make food and necessities accessible to those who are unable to visit the main Outpost location.

CNS Outpost Satellite Location (PAI 5th Floor)
Schedule Availability: IN-PERSON
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 11AM - 3PM
Wednesday and Friday: 11AM - 5PM
Job Responsibilities:
Maintaining the pantry space:
- Receiving packages
- Restocking the pantry twice a week
- Collaborating with student volunteer organizations and training volunteers during Friday restocks
- Cleaning and ensuring the space is clean and organized
Providing hospitality and customer service support:
- Greeting and assisting students
- Maintaining noise level and foot traffic
Inventory Management:
- Updating inventory tracking spreadsheets
- Logging food weights
- Assisting in weekly restock ordering
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs
- Office 365 knowledge
- Creative ability or willingness to learn
- Strong organizational skills
- Work Study eligible
- Have at least a 2.0 overall GPA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in customer service, product/inventory management, or stocking
- Have a Food Handler’s license
- Experience using Box and Qualtrics

Students who hold any academic appointment at the University cannot be employed for more than 20 hours per week at the University of Texas at Austin. This 20-hours-per-week maximum includes the hours for any other appointment you may hold across campus (except for Resident Assistant positions).
