Atoms is a product-first company that believes great businesses are built from inventing groundbreaking products and everything else will follow. We launched Atoms publicly in 2019 to make a shoe that people would want to wear every day while building an engaged community in the process. Since then, we added over 300,000 loyal customers, responded to the pandemic by making & donating over half a million masks, and launched collaborations with leading creatives, such as MKBHD, Tan France, etc. We are with the product end-to-end from design to the day it arrives to our customers.

Note: This is a paid, part-time position (20 hours per week) that is based in New York.

This role involves managing the social accounts of Atoms with a focus on brand and customer experience. We have a very loyal community as-is and we will look to this intern to keep this group engaged as well as growing our social presence that adds to our community and spreads awareness of our products. This internship is ideal for someone who is passionate about community and brand who may already have a strong social presence. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Understand our visual brand identity and develop assets for use in social media, video thumbnails and website that speaks to our customers
  • Create visually appealing content for email, website and social media with proper layouts for both desktop and mobile
  • Edit and design website assets according to the aspect ratio
  • Design packaging assets for collaborations
  • Design events invites
  • Manage design files and assets on Figma and Drive.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong familiarity with graphic creation tools and platforms (Photoshop, Figma, Canva, etc). Illustration skill is a plus.
  • Familiarity with web design, UI/UX on site (desktop and mobile)
  • Strong understanding of the visual identity within social media
  • Simple minimal design style
  • Ability to translate our brand vision into exciting visuals 
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn new tools or techniques as needed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to conduct research to realize content concepts and identify opportunities for engagement
  • Written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members

Compensation: $20 / hour for a maximum of 20 hours a week
