Museum Cashier (open to work study and non-work study)

Texas Science & Natural History Museum cashier's primary role is to collect admission fees and payment for gift shop items in the form of credit cards and the occasional check. Associates provide visitors with a map and information about the museum and its exhibits, answer general questions regarding parking and directions, and provide information about the university and the surrounding community. Associates will also help check-in and collect payment for tour groups. 

Attention to detail is vital. Associates should be personable, dependable, responsible, and eager to represent Texas Science & Natural History as well as The University of Texas. The Associates role demands strong communication skills, a diplomatic spirit, and a passion for helping people have a great, memorable experience at the museum.

This position is open to work study and non-work study students.

A cover letter that includes the days and times you are available to work is requiredThe museum is open 10am to 5pm, Tuesday through Saturday, and 1pm to 5pm on Sunday. We are closed Mondays. Weekend and holiday adjacent shifts are required.

Please note, this is a summer position open from 5/13/24 to 8/16/24.
