Account Service Summer Internship 2024

Steel is seeking an Account Services Intern to assist in client services, project management and account coordinating. This will include support for agency initiatives, generation of presentation and account materials, client and industry research, assisting in daily client service and schedules, and other activities as they arise. The account services intern will gain experience on what it’s like to work in client services within an Agency environment as well as work on actual client work.

Steel Advertising is a Texas-based full-service, integrated advertising agency that uncovers a deep understanding of audiences and moves them to action within the building blocks of daily life. Our mission is to create and connect families in the digital age with brands they love for clients who will help them to lead simpler, happier, and healthier lives. 

Sample Tasks:

• Project coordination including conference reports, work orders, schedule changes, etc.
• Attend client meetings from time-to-time to assist with moving projects forward
• Research for client strategies
• Assist with creation of client presentations

Job Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Should be a self-starter with a positive attitude on the job
• Highly organized individual with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Must embody company values: integrity, accountability, curiosity, generosity, gratitude and awesomeness
• Work schedule of Monday-Thursday is preferred.

*****We have a hybrid in office schedule so interns are required to follow that same schedule. We are in office Monday to Wednesday and work from home Thurs and Friday.*****

Will the student be able to receive academic credit for completing the internship? YES

What skills/experiences will the student gain if they complete the internship? They will gain Business acumen. They will work directly with employees both lower and high level positions, experiencing how a true small business works day to day. They will get the opportunity to use tools and computer programs that they will most likely use in any workplace. They get to be in real meetings both with clients and internal learning all aspects of our office. They will also have the opportunity to work on actual client work that the client will see, this is great for portfolios.
