SUMMER 2024 - Rise Nation Mastermind® Operations Intern

Join our Mastermind Division as an Administrative and Operations Intern and play a crucial role in supporting the daily functioning and growth of our programs. As a Shark Group Intern, you are an important part of the team. You will collaborate with the Manager of Business Development in creating systems, project management, and conducting market research while strengthening your critical thinking, organizational, and strategic planning skills.

Overview: The Shark Group is a marketing consulting firm that offers branding solutions for its world‐class clients of top brands and celebrities founded by Daymond John, CEO & Founder of FUBU and star of ABC’s hit business show Shark Tank. It has perfected the methods to ingrain companies, brands, and products into the social consciousness.

All applicants must possess the following skills:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining accuracy and precision in work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and willingness to learn new software tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to take on new challenges.
  • Passion for personal development and contributing to a positive and growth-focused environment.
  • Ability to complete tasks independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Highly motivated to get things done.
  • Strong initiative and willingness to take ownership and accountability in order to meet deadlines.

Interns will be exposed to a variety of projects throughout the course of their internship, in line with their educational goals and career interests. 

As an intern, you will gain educational experience by:

  • Organizing meetings and handling correspondence.
  • Managing data entry, documentation, and maintaining organized records.
  • Collaborating in the development of program materials and resources, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Conducting research and compiling reports on various topics related to the Mastermind Division's initiatives.
  • Collaborating with data analysis and generating insights to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collecting and analyzing post-event feedback and creating reports to evaluate event success.
  • Contributing to the development and enhancement of Mastermind program materials and resources.
  • Providing data management and CRM updates to ensure accurate records and participant information.
  • Creating promotional decks for advertising the event and outreach to potential clients and/or affiliates.
  • Preparing notes and shot lists for in person events. 
  • Managing schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements for team members.
  • Syncing with the department staff with other special projects, as needed.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Operational Efficiency: Gain practical experience in managing schedules, appointments, and operational tasks with accuracy and efficiency, contributing to the smooth functioning of our Mastermind Division.
  • Event Coordination: Acquire event planning and coordination skills by organizing virtual and in-person events, including logistics, registrations, and on-site support.
  • Data Management and Analysis: Learn to handle data entry, documentation, and record-keeping efficiently, while also developing skills in data analysis to provide insights for operational improvements.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Enhance communication skills by interacting with team members, stakeholders, and members of our Mastermind community, ensuring effective collaboration and support.
  • Organizational Skills: Develop strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities effectively, ensuring seamless execution of administrative and operational tasks.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Cultivate problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment, as interns support the team in various aspects of divisional growth and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 10-20 hours per week
  • Must be currently enrolled in a college or university and able to receive credit for your internship at The Shark Group.
  • Must provide an official school letter acknowledging proof of enrollment and eligibility.
  • All internships will be remote, candidates must have access to working wifi and a computer/ laptop.

This is an unpaid internship; however, a $10 daily travel stipend will be provided.
