Senior Student Associate (open to work study and non-work study)

Position Description

The BOPS (Business Operations) team supports the Governmental Affairs and Initiatives department by providing a variety of services, including Accounting, Purchasing, HR, and more.


Senior Student Associates assist the Business Operations team on projects including but not limited to, Accounting, Purchasing, and HR data entry and reporting, customer service, inventory, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Creation of payment vouchers
  • Processing of affiliate assignments
  • Processing of purchase orders and purchase order changes
  • Creation and processing of travel authorizations
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Current student at The University of Texas at Austin.  
  • Basic computer/Microsoft Office skills.
  • Contact information for at least one professional or academic reference.
  • Organized and highly flexible.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Able and willing to learn new software systems quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an administrative support role within UT.
  • More than one year of experience working in a professional office environment.
  • Experience with DEFINE, Workday, and/or Smartsheet.
