Legislative Support Intern
Overview:
Our consulting firm is looking for two interns to join our team for the summer and/or fall semesters as we prepare for the upcoming legislative session. This position will provide exposure to variety of public policy topics throughout the internship.
Internships are directly overseen by two employees, but as a small firm, interns will have the opportunity to work on teams with all consultants.
Duties:
- Attend and report on legislative hearings at the state capitol
- Research a variety of topics pertaining to client interests/use this information to produce reports for the office
- Other administrative duties as needed (copies, supplies, answering phones, filing, etc.)
Schedule*:
Flexible schedule, 15-30 hours a week
Location:
Downtown Austin
Compensation: $12 an hour, paid bi-weekly
