Build software applications for manufacturing and material flow management, with great focus on reliability, availability, scalability, speed, and security. Work cross-functionally to facilitate automated manufacturing and material flow processes. Ensure Tesla’s integrated and distributed systems are working as expected by implementing proper software, monitoring tools, and solutions to detect issues before they become a production problem. Write code in Python, Go or groovy.  Package code as Docker image to then deploy them on Kubernetes Orchestration platform. Use infrastructure as code best practices. Setup logging and monitoring tools.  Use tools (e.g., Git, Gitops, or CI/CD pipeline) to help in the software development lifecycle. Author technical documentation for factory software home grown applications, workflows, and processes. Provide continuous recommendation for improvement as needs arise.

Requirements:  Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related. Two (2) years of experience in software development within a manufacturing environment. Employer will accept a Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and two (2) years of experience as described above.

Academic background, internship, or work experience to include: Programming language to include; Go, Python, or Java; SQL; Docker, or Kubernetes; Linux OS; Networking including: TCP/IP; Prometheus, AlertManager, Grafana, Splunk, or InfluxDB; and CI/CD tools including: Jenkins, Github Actions, ArgoCD, or Ansible.  Successful completion of reference and background checks is required.
