Technical Program Manager

Coordinate the operations perimeter in its entirety as it relates to introducing major coordinated changes or packages into the factory or factories. Ensure engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain validation targets have been met for each change. Drive all new products or programs introduced into the factory or factories (from program scope, product definition, Bill-of-Material creation, and supply chain readiness, to implementation). Plan, organize, and orchestrate all pre-launch build activities including slow builds, part trials, design iterations, DV or PV validations, and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). Scale mass production with high reliability, repeatability, and robustness targets to hit aggressive production ramp schedules with operation teams. Approve design changes by reviewing engineering drawings (i.e., 2D drawings and CAD) and engineering data (including: strength of materials, NVH (Noise Vibration Harshness), heat transfer, vehicle integration, and design tolerance stack up). Coordinate significant sample size part trials with associates, technicians, and engineers and define KPI metrics of success (Safety, Quality, OEE, Production Targets). Involve in the complete manufacturing validation for the program, drive supply chain readiness, handover from launch planning to production planning, organize and monitor factory transition, and follow up on excess or obsolescence planning and post-program or service introduction activities. Participate in and lead various cross-functional Program and Manufacturing Readiness forums. Provide concise and clear updates on status, action plans, and recovery plans as necessary at both working and executive levels. 

Requirements:  Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or related. Two (2) years of experience in program management within a manufacturing environment.  Employer will accept a Master’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or related in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and two (2) years of experience as described above. 

Academic background, internship, or work experience to include: Problem-solving methodology including: 5-Why, Pareto, or root cause analysis; Product lifecycle management (PLM) systems; Interpreting 2D and 3D CAD documents; Developing project or process flow charts, timelines, and milestones to then identify critical paths; and Bill of Material (BOM) management.  Successful completion of reference and background checks is required.
