Serve as a part of Tesla’s Applications Engineering organization to build information systems that support Tesla's rapid growth and provide an amazing customer experience. Design, develop, and implement applications that involve customer engagement and customer experience journey. Develop features with customer360 applications that enable Tesla advisors and customers to have a seamless experience with the order and fulfilment journey. Design software architecture based on business requirements, strategy, and priorities. Promote software engineering best practices by performing code reviews, building tools and documentation. Leverage existing skills while learning and implementing new, open-source technologies. Support product managers, content producers, QA engineers and release engineers to own solutions from development to production. 

Requirements:  Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related. Five (5) years of progressive experience in software applications development. Employer will accept a Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related and three (3) years of experience in software applications development in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and five (5) years of progressive experience as described above.

Work experience to include: Developing Java or J2EE applications including: Springs framework; GraphDB Server; GraphQL, Confluent Kafka, Apache Kafka, or Apache Flink; Query optimization; REST APIs; Unit testing and integration testing; Message queue architecture; Docker and Kubernetes; and Agile or SCRUM Software Development.  Successful completion of reference and background checks is required.
