Human Resources Intern

Primary Purpose:

Provides high quality customer service to employees of the District. Assists with data entry and maintenance of required employee information.
Provides support with HR electronic programs. Assists in the daily routine work activities of an administrative department office and provides
clerical services as needed.

Minimum Qualifications (Experience/Education/Certification):

High school diploma or GED and three years of related experience.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Assist employees as needed with all matters related to HR.

2. Assist with maintenance of all personnel records within Position Management System (computerized system to assign employees to
positions and calculate salary).

3. Perform file and record maintenance; process service records requests; track and follow up with employee delinquent or missing
documents.

4. Prepare new employee personnel files, download application information from the online system, and assist with New Employee
Information Sessions (NEIS).

5. Greet visitors and assist employee and applicants with completing applications and required paperwork.

6. Assist with new employee orientations, including I-9 processing and issuance of proxy cards.

7. Follow Educator Code of Conduct & all policies, procedures, laws and State/Federal regulations.

8. Perform other duties as assigned.
