Student Trainee (Engineering)

Duties

• Performs a variety of developmental assignments of progressive difficulty in functional specialties of engineering and drafting.
• Participates in planned formal educational programs such as university courses, interagency programs, professional society meetings, seminars, and related activities.
• Assists in the collection, preparation and assembly of basic project data.
• May assist a professional engineer in obtaining additional data required for contract specifications.
• Provides assistance to higher level employees by extracting and compiling data for inclusion in reports, modifications, and specifications.
• Drafts replies to miscellaneous correspondence, preparing fact sheets and assisting in revising a variety of reports to reflect the comments of others.
