Summer Casting Intern
Sarah Finn Casting (an independent casting office with credits such as “Everything Everywhere All At Once”, “Avengers: Endgame”, “Three Billboards Outside Ebbings, Missouri”, and “Black Panther”) is open to receiving applications from college students with an interest in casting for its summer internship program. Internships are part-time and in-person at our Hollywood office. This is an unpaid position with the requirement and expectation that the intern is eligible for and will receive college credit for the experience. Applicants are expected to be residing in Los Angeles this summer.
Primary duties will involve actor database management and individual research projects that will result in a presentation at the end of the internship. Interns will gain a general familiarity with the casting process - including expanding their knowledge of talent, becoming proficient in the use of several Casting software services, learning audition session etiquette, and gaining insight into the relationships between studios, directors, producers, representation, and actors.
Casting experience isn’t necessary, but a positive attitude, organization, attention to detail, discretion, and a love of actors are a must. No task is too small! Writing ability and computer proficiency, as well as office etiquette, are assumed.
Please submit a cover letter and resume by Monday, February 26th. In your cover letter, please explain why you are interested in casting, and please be sure to include the outside dates of your availability (i.e. “May 16th - August 16th 2024”), your contact information and where you will be based this summer, and information about the internship parameters your college requires for credit, including the minimum number of hours per week.
