Duties

 

At the entry level of this position, you will:

 

  • Analyze data and prepare qualitative and quantitative estimates of health effects from chemical substances and other environmental contaminants (e.g, microbial pathogens) to produce scientifically defensible health assessment documents that reflect current scientific principles and risk assessment methods.
  • Advise and provide technical assistance to management and other stakeholders on scientific issues.
  • Work individually or participate on teams/workgroups with other scientists in Office of Water (OW) and across the EPA to identify and resolve scientific issues.
  • Serve as a project officer or work assignment manager for scientific support work performed under contract or assistance agreements.
