Biologist/Ecologist/Physical Scientist/Chemist - ORD

This position is in the Office of Research and Development, Center for Computational Toxicology and Exposure, Chemical Characterization and Exposure Division, Advanced Analytical Chemistry Methods Branch.

This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.

Duties

 

At the entry level of this position, you will:

  • Assist in the execution and analysis of environmental/agents stressors on the environment, ecosystem, and/or organisms.
  • Assist in modifying, validating, and applying methods to assess experimental endpoints.
  • Provide information and advice on laboratory procedures and operations.
  • Assist in implementing and adhering to Laboratory, Health, and Safety and Quality Assurance and other system requirements.

When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses.
