JSG Part-Time IT Student Assistant (open to work study and non-work study)
Introduction: Our team is seeking a motivated and skilled undergraduate student to join us in a part-time role, working 15-20 hours per week in the IT Department.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Physically set up and move computers, as well as configure and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Prepare computers for salvage, including data removal and secure disposal of sensitive information.
- Organize and maintain lab equipment and peripherals, ensuring that all items are in proper working order and stored safely.
- Order supplies and equipment as needed, working within budget constraints and ensuring that all purchases align with departmental guidelines.
- Assist in the management of inventory, tracking the status of equipment and ensuring that all items are accounted for.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to established safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot technical issues and provide support as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in a relevant field of study.
- Minimum basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Work-Study program requirements and guidelines.
