Student Assistant (open to work study and non-work study)
The Student Assistant position for the Texas McCombs+ Global & Experiential Learning Program will provide help for all of the programs and services offered by the Texas McCombs+ Program including, micro-consulting projects, leadership seminars, community events, coaching program, and international programs.
Responsibilities:
- Tracking student engagement across our programs and projects using Excel
- Update and track Study Abroad Portal and Canvas requirements for international program participants
- Research country-specific travel information, such as local “9-1-1” numbers, local hospitals, etc.
- Assist with maintaining McCombs+ Canvas site, including updating information, uploading assignments, and clearing old posts
- Managing the McCombs+ general email inbox and sending messages to students to remind them to complete requirements
- Serve as front desk backup, if required
- Other duties as assigned
Eligibility Requirements:
- Student must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student for the fall 2023 and spring 2024 semesters, taking at least 12 hours.
- Ability to learn independently and communicate through abstract and ambiguous processes.
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new applications quickly.
Terms of Employment:
- Appointed yearly for Fall & Spring Semesters, option to extend during summer months (no summer class requirement)
- Salary: $10.25/hr, 10 hours per week
- Required in-office 2 days a week (MBA Program Office, RRH 2.350), with flexible working hours and remote option
