Quality Assurance Analyst

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting procedures to ensure that all products and services meet organization standards and end-user/client requirements. This includes compliance with timing and documentation of client-approved design/requirements prior to and after production release. It also includes testing of all implementations, enhancements, and fixes. This position includes both manual and automated system testing for accuracy and consistency with known specifications. The position requires interfacing with internal teams including IT and Account Services to facilitate the collection and clarification of business and technical requirements. Communication with external clients and vendors is not required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Process incoming and outgoing requests for work across departments
  • Review, clarify, test, and document change requests during the development cycle, including bugs and issues with changes
  • Work with stakeholders to understand the goals desired to be achieved with data
  • Develop, maintain, document, and execute test cases in both manual and automated systems
  • Perform analysis on data, site features, and functionality
  • Research and analyze issues for ongoing site support
  • Test and verify current and future product solutions
  • Develop, maintain, and execute test plans and matrices
  • Interface and provide feedback to internal teams including IT Development and Account Services
  • Gather and clarify business and technical requirements
  • Obtain and load data for evaluation with team members
  • Execute Scripts
  • Drive compliance with company policies
  • Generate and distribute reports to internal stakeholders

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Required:
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Business Discipline
  • 1– 3 years’ experience in business or systems analysis
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science related field such as MIS, IS, or CS
  • Experience with health data such as Protected Health Information (PHI) and Protected Identifiable Information (PII)
 
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
  • Familiar with technical terminology including programming basics
  • Programming in computer languages: HTML and XML
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, computer, and documentation skills required (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Motivated self-learner with new technologies and skills and takes initiative and ownership of tasks within area of responsibility
  • Ability to work well with others (virtually and in person) in the solution of mutual problems; respect opinions, abilities, and contributions of others; cooperate and open minded in working with others
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail, produces high quality work, and requires only review and approval of completed and validated work
  • Ability to work independently with guidance and oversight to organize, plan and prioritize with effective results
  • Proven data analysis experience with demonstrated ability to analyze data and provide possible solutions based on results
  • Software testing concepts, practices, and procedures with quality control best practices and methodologies in a software environment
  • Knowledge of industry terminology and applicability including Eligibility (Census & Enrollment), Demographics, Biometrics, Claims, Activity, and Incentives helpful, but not mandatory
