Mental Health Therapist

Job Summary
Counseling Center of North Texas is seeking both part time and full time therapists to join our team as soon as possible providing counseling services to clients at our Wylie location. Counseling Center of North Texas provides quality mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups in a private practice setting. We are looking to hire an intern level (LPC-Intern, LMSW, LMFT-A) and/or fully licensed therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist) to provide individual, family, and group therapy. A valid Texas license is required for the position. Willingness to work with children and/or couples is preferred. Counseling Center of North Texas utilizes an employment model with compensation based on a percentage split for billable encounters.

Must be willing to work at least 2 evening (4 pm - 9 pm) and/or weekend shifts. 2-year non-compete within ten miles. SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY.

Responsibilities and Duties
Assess the mental and behavioral health status of referred patients.
Provide psychotherapy to scheduled patients utilizing professional counseling standards.
Formulate differential diagnosis of mild to moderate mental health issues.
Formulate short-term and long-term counseling plans for patients under care.
Identify patients with urgent mental health conditions (e.g. suicidal, homicidal, psychotic, etc.) and make appropriate referrals to available emergency or psychiatric treatment facilities.
Provide written document of counseling sessions, assessments, interventions, and recommendations to meet requirements for medical records documentation.
Help clients examine mental health issues, including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, grief, anger management, relationships, blended family issues, LGBTQ issues, self-image, stress and at-risk/suicide.
Contribute as a team player with positive attitude.

Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements for Employment
Valid Texas LMSW, LPC-Intern, LMFT-A, LCSW, LPC or LMFT license in good standing.
Experience working with individuals, couples, and families using a variety of therapeutic approaches.
For fully licensed therapists, either currently on some insurance panels or willing and able to join insurance panels.
Must have a cell phone, email address, and laptop that can be used for business purposes.
Must be willing to see children and/or couples.
Must be willing to work two evening or weekend shifts.
