Sports Clinic Instructor - East Communities YMCA Center
Our Youth Sports Clinics provide an enriching and nurturing environment for athletes between the ages of 8-15 years. Clinics are conducted weekly and are session-based (4 classes typically each session). The curriculum is based on learning sound fundamentals through demonstration, drills, physical conditioning, and games. We are hiring Sports Clinic Instructors experienced in soccer, volleyball, or basketball.
Location: East Communities YMCA - 5315 Ed Bluestein Blvd, Austin, TX 78723
Pay Rate: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour. Final compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.

What You'll Do:
- Build a positive relationship with each student; actively engaging to foster the positive development of each child and the group
- Adhere to policies and procedures in a proactive manner, making the safety and care of children your primary focus.
- Communicate with the parents of students as needed.
- Maintain the necessary records to track attendance in classes.
- Conduct warm-ups as assigned by the supervisor.
- Render first aid as needed and complete the required incident and accident paperwork.
- Assist facility supervisor in setting up and taking down courts.
- Distribute information or equipment as requested by the facility supervisor.
- Check the play area for hazards prior to the start of each clinic.
- Promote the YMCA's character values, mission, wellness philosophy, and role in the community.
- Lead by example the Y’s mission, vision, and values with program participants, members, staff, and guests.
- Become an Ambassador of the Y’s work and culture by being the ultimate storyteller of who we are as an organization and brand.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience:
- Minimum age of 16 years
- Experience in being part of a sports team.
Availability: Monday through Friday, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and Weekends, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.
