Martial Arts Instructor - North Austin YMCA Center
Our Martial Arts Program teach children how to use their strength effectively, maintain cardiovascular fitness, and improve flexibility and coordination. Embracing the mental and spiritual elements of martial arts will help students build confidence, self-control, and self-esteem. As a Martial Arts Instructor, you help students develop and master skills in Tae Know Do & Jiu-Jitsu. Most importantly, you show children that Martial Arts is fun! Apply today!

Pay Rate: $16.00 to $20.00 per hour. Final compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.

What You'll Do:
- Create lesson plans for sessions and progression.
- Administer instructions and tests
- Supervise assistant instructors.
- Ensure the classroom is clean and safe
- Promote the YMCA's character values, mission, wellness philosophy, and role in the community.
- Lead by example the Y’s mission, vision, and values with program participants, members, staff, and guests.
- Become an Ambassador of the Y’s work and culture by being the ultimate storyteller of who we are as an organization and brand.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience:
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent and are a minimum of 18 years of age.
- You have 2 years of experience working as an instructor
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
Availability: 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm M-F, Weekends 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
