Custodial Team Member - Hays Communities YMCA Center

Location: Hays Communities YMCA - 465 Buda Sportsplex Dr, Buda, Texas 78610

Pay Rate: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour. Final compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.

What You'll Do:
  • Maintain the branch’s cleanliness and safety with a sense of urgency and prioritization (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc).
  • Communicate maintenance needs, and issues, and recommend solutions to branch directors.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks of the facilities as a means of preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure the fulfillment of goods in designated areas, such as paper towels, soap, sanitizer, etc.
  • Empty and clean wastebaskets throughout the branch.
  • Arrange equipment in the custodial storage areas in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Work closely with the Y Safety Champion and Care Area Marshal to develop intense cleaning and disinfecting protocol in closed-off areas. 
  • Complete other job duties assigned.

What We're Looking For:

Education and Experience:
  • You are a minimum of 18yrs old and have a high school diploma or GED.
  • You have the ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Having experience in custodial or maintenance work settings is a plus but not required. 

Availability
  • You can work a flexible schedule on a weekday morning, midday, and evening shifts between 8 am and 8 pm.
