Vice President for Student Affairs Social Media Intern (VPSA)

The Office
 
Led by Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students Soncia Reagins-Lilly, the Division of Student Affairs works with academic partners, staff, parents and student leaders to influence our students in Living the Longhorn Life®. Supported by the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Division’s nine departments, 37 units and 40 facilities offer first-class programs, facilities and services. 
 
The Position
 
  • Executing social media projects they are tasked with
  • Content creation may include but not limited Instagram posts, reels, stories
  • Able to edit short form videos within the Instagram app
  • Capturing and editing content with a strong understanding of appealing aesthetics
  • Coming up with original social media content ideas that fit within the type of content our pages push out
  • Creating engaging social pieces and activations across campus and highlighting various departments

Who You Are (Qualifications)
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Possesses a strong awareness of current trends on social media
  • Understands various mediums of content creation across social platforms
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable interacting with the campus community in a variety of settings
  • Self-motivated and organized
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Capable of thinking outside of the box and creatively problem-solving
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build campus partnerships.
