Digital Marketing and Photography Intern (Department of Computer Science)

The Division of Student Affairs Internship Program 
  
The Division of Student Affairs Internship Program empowers students to spend a summer handling a special project for the university designed to prepare them for life after graduation. Interns will work 19 hours per week for 10-weeks. These part-time internship positions offer a competitive compensation package that includes an hourly wage and housing assistance. Undergraduate students only are eligible to apply. The internship runs from May 30, 2023 to August 4, 2023. The application is due by February 12, 2023 at 11:59pm. 
  
Although internships range in subject matter and skill set, each position is designed to prepare all students for life after graduation. An additional component to the internship experience will be a ten-week workshop series to develop students’ career readiness. The weekly workshop will require in-person attendance on campus.

The Office

The Position 
-Use a DSLR camera to take photographs during each UTCS summer academy.
-Provide image retouching and additional image manipulation as needed.
-Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content (e.g. original text, photos, and videos) daily that motivates, inspires, educates, and informs across a wide variety of digital platforms.
-Coordinate with the brand team to ensure brand consistency.
-Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies to drive online traffic to the department’s website/social media platforms.
-Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner.
-Must be self-directed, able to work with minimal supervision.
-Keen attention to detail and experience in a deadline-driven workplace.

Who You Are (Qualifications) 
-Full understanding of all social media platforms
-Ability to harness collaboration to produce well-crafted content
-Possess strong technical skills, including experience on Mac as well as with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
-Possess strong attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
-Experience with HTML/CSS and working on projects for the web a bonus
-Photography skills and experience with a DSLR camera also a bonus
