mindful UT intern (Longhorn Wellness Center)

 
The Division of Student Affairs Internship Program 
  
The Division of Student Affairs Internship Program empowers students to spend a summer handling a special project for the university designed to prepare them for life after graduation. Interns will work 19 hours per week for 10-weeks. These part-time internship positions offer a competitive compensation package that includes an hourly wage and housing assistance. Undergraduate students only are eligible to apply. The internship runs from May 30, 2023 to August 4, 2023. The application is due by February 12, 2023 at 11:59pm. 
  
Although internships range in subject matter and skill set, each position is designed to prepare all students for life after graduation. An additional component to the internship experience will be a ten-week workshop series to develop students’ career readiness. The weekly workshop will require in-person attendance on campus.

The Office 
The Longhorn Wellness Center (LWC) is the prevention and health promotion arm of University Health Services (UHS) and the Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC) at UT Austin.
 
The Position 
Actively share ideas and feedback on proposed mindfulness programming structure, workshops, curriculum, and communication plans.
Support the creation of a Foundations of Stress Management course through ideas, creating slides, and promotion.
Assist with the creation of nature-based mindfulness programming and initiatives.
Assist in the creation of marketing materials, including social media posts, web content, and print materials.

Who You Are (Qualifications) 
Experience (through coursework, past/current employment, or other avenues of learning) related to mindfulness.
Working familiarity with UT campus and student support resources.
Personal experience with mindfulness and experience sharing mindfulness with others.
