Residence Life Intern - Mooov In (University Housing & Dining)

The Division of Student Affairs Internship Program 
  
The Division of Student Affairs Internship Program empowers students to spend a summer handling a special project for the university designed to prepare them for life after graduation. Interns will work 19 hours per week for 10-weeks. These part-time internship positions offer a competitive compensation package that includes an hourly wage and housing assistance. Undergraduate students only are eligible to apply. The internship runs from May 30, 2023 to August 4, 2023. The application is due by February 12, 2023 at 11:59pm. 
  
Although internships range in subject matter and skill set, each position is designed to prepare all students for life after graduation. An additional component to the internship experience will be a ten-week workshop series to develop students’ career readiness. The weekly workshop will require in-person attendance on campus.

The Office 
Residence Life is primarily responsible for engaging students living in residence halls and apartments. They support students through the entire resident life cycle, from applying for housing to Mooov-IN and throughout the school year. Residence Life promotes safety and growth, cultivates inclusive communities, and created programming to support learning goals.
 
The Position 
  • The intern will work with marketing on digital and print projects for Mooov-in (i.e. postcards, signage, maps, etc.)
  • The intern will work on training materials and presentations for a variety of individuals within the Residence Life department (virtual, in-person and recorded)
  • The intern will attend one-on-ones with the supervisor and members of the committee to collaborate on projects related to Mooov-In
  • The intern will complete walk throughs with the Mooov-In committee at Disch Falk-Field and learn about vendor/campus partner relationships
  • The intern will assist with supply inventories/purchasing requests for Mooov-In
  • The intern will understand the organizational structure and culture of Residence Life
  • The intern will collaborate with residence life professionals, campus partners, and vendors
  • The intern will inform and provide insight into strategies to create a more engaging and efficient Mooov-in process for new residential students
