Programs and Resource Coordinator Intern (Division of Student Affairs)

The Division of Student Affairs Internship Program 
  
The Division of Student Affairs Internship Program empowers students to spend a summer handling a special project for the university designed to prepare them for life after graduation. Interns will work 19 hours per week for 10-weeks. These part-time internship positions offer a competitive compensation package that includes an hourly wage and housing assistance. Undergraduate students only are eligible to apply. The internship runs from May 30, 2023 to August 4, 2023. The application is due by February 12, 2023 at 11:59pm. 
  
Although internships range in subject matter and skill set, each position is designed to prepare all students for life after graduation. An additional component to the internship experience will be a ten-week workshop series to develop students’ career readiness. The weekly workshop will require in-person attendance on campus.

The Office 
The Division of Student Affairs Development Team, housed in the Vice President for Student Affairs (VPSA) office, collaborates with units and departments within the Division and Texas Development to support scholarships, programs, initiatives, facilities, and more. Our team is comprised of the Development Director, Assistant Director of Development, Alumni Engagement and Events Coordinator, and between one to two student assistants. Together, we cover all aspects of development for the Division of Student Affairs including fundraising, endowments, stewardship, events, contact reports, and much more. Our mission is to serve the students of The University by complying with University Development practices and standards while also keeping the values and mission of Student Affairs a priority.
 
The Position 
  • Analyze programs, events, and resources that currently exist for students on campus
  • Build profiles for each of these programs with snapshots of what each program does
  • Categorize programs to make it easier for the user experience
  • Roughly build out a webpage or system that connects these resources in a single space
  • Design a space for new staff to access a kit with acronyms and their associated names
  • Build out one-pagers for each department
  • Please note this role will be hybrid and will require time on-campus as well as remote work.

Who You Are (Qualifications) 
  • Experience with data entry
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office programs particularly Excel
  • Skills in communicating
  • Highly motivated individual that can work well with others
