Project Advance Austin Community Partner Training Development Intern (Texas LEAD)

The Division of Student Affairs Internship Program 
  
The Division of Student Affairs Internship Program empowers students to spend a summer handling a special project for the university designed to prepare them for life after graduation. Interns will work 19 hours per week for 10-weeks. These part-time internship positions offer a competitive compensation package that includes an hourly wage and housing assistance.  Undergraduate students only are eligible to apply. The internship runs from May 30, 2023 to August 4, 2023. The application is due by February 12, 2023 at 11:59pm. 
  
Although internships range in subject matter and skill set, each position is designed to prepare all students for life after graduation. An additional component to the internship experience will be a ten-week workshop series to develop students’ career readiness. The weekly workshop will require in-person attendance on campus.

The Office 
Texas LEAD in the Office of the Dean of Students focuses on providing leader and leadership development training for the UT Community. Texas LEAD works to fulfill its mission through a variety of programming and training opportunities designed to meet participants where they are at along their leadership journey.
 
The Position 
  • Develop a community partner training curriculum including training materials and a schedule that provides basic project management understanding, and awareness of UT, Texas LEAD, and the support provided to community partners
  • Develop resource materials for community partners who are already partnered with Texas LEAD and Project Advance Austin
  • Develop resource materials for community partners to learn more about Project Advance Austin, and who are looking to connect with Project Advance Austin
  • Support unit with Summer Orientation responsibilities

Who You Are (Qualifications) 
Preferred but not required:
  • Understanding of Project Management processes and/or,
  • Experience with curriculum and instruction design and/or,
  • Experience with developing training programs
