Amplify Center Intern (Dept. of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at UT's Dell Medical School)

The Division of Student Affairs Internship Program 
  
The Division of Student Affairs Internship Program empowers students to spend a summer handling a special project for the university designed to prepare them for life after graduation. Interns will work 19 hours per week for 10-weeks. These part-time internship positions offer a competitive compensation package that includes an hourly wage and housing assistance. Undergraduate students only are eligible to apply. The internship runs from May 30, 2023 to August 4, 2023. The application is due by February 12, 2023 at 11:59pm. 
  
Although internships range in subject matter and skill set, each position is designed to prepare all students for life after graduation. An additional component to the internship experience will be a ten-week workshop series to develop students’ career readiness. The weekly workshop will require in-person attendance on campus.

The Position 
Provide customer service to individuals who come into the clinic, as well as those who contact the clinic via email or phone, by providing information and resources and coordinating with other team members. Provide Amplify clients assistance in completing screening forms. Perform data entry, assist with data monitoring and tracking, and assist with creating and presenting reports.

Who You Are (Qualifications) 
  • Students with an interest in innovative approaches to mental health are preferred.
  • Students appropriate for this internship may represent a variety of educational areas of study.
  • We value students who bring personal lived experience with mental health challenges and/or experience with mental health systems.
  • Understanding of research methods, experience in customer service, or background in mental health are pluses.
