Associate in the Commercial Development Program

Associates in the Commercial Development Program will be initially assigned to and perform duties within the Scheduling and Business Analysis functional areas. 

Associate Schedulers –
  • Schedule movements via barge, pipeline, truck, ship, or rail, and ensure correct quality, quantity, and timing of the load/unload activity. Duties may initially be performed in one of the following areas: Products, Crude/Feedstocks, Marine, and Rail.
  • Coordinates the most cost efficient transportation activities and requirements between marketing, plants, and customers.
  • Manages appropriate inventory positions that balance the existing market conditions, wholesale forecasts, production schedules, and logistics constraints to keep terminals adequately supplied and refineries balanced.
  • Manages secondary costs to move products in the most cost efficient manner.

Associate Business Analysts –
  • Support marketing/commercial floor operations by performing complex research and analysis. Duties may initially be performed in one of the following areas: Products, Crude/Feedstocks, Trading Risk, Transportation, Wholesale Marketing, Transfer Pricing, and Contracts.
  • Generates, summarizes, and relays key data to various internal departments by performing data mining, data manipulation, and/or analysis.
  • Creates routine and ad-hoc reports, and provides recommendations that include financial, operational, and/or forecasted data.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications -
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas preferred: Logistics, Transportation (all means), Business/Financial Analysis, Marine Operations, Military, Oil & Gas/Refining/Petrochemical Industry.
  • Ability to be available by phone and manage assigned transportation operations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays as required.

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
