Associate System Specialist

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products, and petrochemicals. Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The partnership’s assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.

The Associate Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing assistance and support in our Web and Technical Systems group. The position will work under regular supervision. Performs basic technology tasks and projects of lesser complexity. Relies on established guidelines and/or detailed direction. Work will familiarize employee with programs and practices of the Company.

IT Applications – We’re looking for recent college graduates with technical aptitude and a strong desire to learn the energy business. You will learn and ultimately provide support for Enterprise’s business systems, including the development, integration, and support of internally developed and 3rd party applications. Responsibilities will also include project related tasks with an opportunity to gain expertise related to employee self-service workflow systems, building new workflows, and maintaining existing workflows. This person may utilize proprietary tools, common programming languages and database scripting in the development of these workflows. Formal and on-the-job training will be provided for the technical and functional aspects of supporting the various business systems. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CS or related technical degree.  

Qualifications

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree from a 4 year accredited university in one of the following disciplines:
  1. MIS, Computer Science, CIS
  2. Data Science
  3. Math/Physics
  • 0 to 1 year of information technology experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problems solving, analytical and decision making skills.
  • Dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of customers.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and customers to gain their trust and respect.
