Sr. Counterintelligence Analyst

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Integrate analytic drivers in field office actions.
  • Develop, implement, manage, enhance, and maintain required analytic and investigative elements of the DOE Intelligence, counterintelligence, and counterterrorism programs under the AOR purview of the Brookhaven CI Field Office.
  • Interact, collaborate, and integrate regularly with other members of the United States Intelligence Community (USIC), most notably, the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Position Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree in geo-political studies or a related field required.
  • Must have at least 10 years total experience working in a related field including at least five years as an analyst within the USIC and possess current top secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access and current CI Scope Polygraph, including experience working in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
  • SCIA must have a demonstrable record of success in the analysis and publication of intelligence products, providing briefings to investigators and decision makers and executive level managers, and in-depth understanding of the threat posed by adversaries, and received significant training in a related field offered by a USIC member. The SCIA must have significant programmatic experience guiding investigations and collaborating to create the connective analytic mosaic.
  • must have well-developed oral and written presentation and communication skills as well as a demonstrable record of success in this metric.
  • must have extraordinary political savvy, adroit organizational and time management skills, with a demonstrable record of success being responsible for the operation, administration, and output of a major program
  • Must successfully complete a rigid background check with a limited-scope polygraph examination concerning National Security issues. 
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Master’s degree in global studies or related field preferred.
  • Ability to interact productively with the unique culture of the scientific and academic community; global geo-political skills, insights, and expertise.
  • Some management or program experience in intelligence, counterintelligence or a related field.
