The State Water Resources Control Board has an opening for a Research Data Specialist III position in the Data Support Unit of the Division of Drinking Water-Quality Assurance Section. The position is located at 1001 I Street, 24th Floor, Sacramento, right in the heart of downtown near the Capitol building, Cesar Chavez Park, the Golden 1 Stadium, light rail stations, and other public transportation.

This individual will:
-Work closely with stakeholders to support the design, development, testing, and implementation of databases to support the collection and analysis of drinking water drought and emergency response related data.
-Support the development, improvement, and maintenance of drought and emergency response data.
-Provide technical and analytical support to database users.
-Serve as a workgroup or committee liaison to support stakeholder involvement.
-Collaborate with and assist staff on identifying the priorities on gathering, verifying, and ensuring water system drought and emergency response data are collected and displayed accurately.
-Create visually appealing website content and promote procedures that support consistency, transparency, and sharing knowledge.
