Microsimulation Research Scientist

We are looking for scientists, engineers, and mathematicians to join our research team and help us solve challenging scientific and computational problems in large scale microsimulation of urban mobility. 
What You'll Do: 
  • Collaborate with other researchers at Novateur and academia to help develop a large-scale microsimulation model of human mobility in urban environment. 
  • Identify, collect, and process real-world data, such as GIS data, points-of-interests, traffic density and flow, population statistics, as well as trajectory datasets. 
  • Model and encode diverse human mobility behaviors. 
  • Develop optimization models to support fine-grain simulation over large geospatial regions and over long periods of time.  
  • Write research papers and present results. 
  • Help identify new research directions. 
What We are Looking for: 
  • Masters or PhD. Degree in computer science, engineering, physics, applied mathematics or a related field. 
  • Efficient and scalable algorithm design and problem-solving skills. 
  • Hands-on experience and proficiency in software prototyping. 
  • Innovative researcher with passion for working on cutting-edge technologies. 
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. 
  • Team player with positive and collaborative mindset. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Strong record of research publications in microsimulation and human mobility.
