React Front - End Developer

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA), Algorithms, Model and Assessment Division (AMA) in Raleigh, NC is seeking a React Front-End Developer for a physics-based computational system deployed on AWS Gov Cloud. You will be a core member of the development team in helping define, develop and deploy this vital cloud service for use in the Department of Defense. To succeed, you should have a solid understanding of React front-end architecture and be passionate about participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle.

React Front-End Developer Responsibilities:
Your day-to-day tasks will include planning and executing the development of cloud-enabled web applications while helping to plan the evolution of the environment. In addition, activities include:
• Build great customer experiences by developing the web-UI front-end for a vital Department of Defense service
• Extend technically by providing input and, at times, help develop the back-end system of this service
• Collaborate with our customers, colleagues, and other ARA teams in defining and developing an integrated solution
• Contribute to our high-engineering standards on the team through quality code and process consistency

React Front - End Developer Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a Secret security clearance
• BS in Computer Science with 5-7 years of relevant work experience OR 11-13 equivalent practical experience in lieu of a degree
• REACT front-end architecture
• Experience with automated testing, both in your development workflow and through CI/CD
• True problem solver with a drive to find solutions to technical challenges

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience deploying and integrating Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) software into a cloud environment
• Experience working on US Government programs
