This position is entitled to a $250.00 pay differential per month based on Bargaining Unit and/or work location.

The San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board has an opening for a Water Resource Control Engineer in the Watershed Management Division. We offer a flexible work schedule and telework with periodic in-person attendance at the office and field work. The office is located at 1515 Clay Street, Suite 1400, Oakland, CA 94612.

Duties:
Under the supervision of a Senior Water Resource Control Engineer, the incumbent performs engineering technical work related to the Regional Water Board’s implementation of the Onsite Wastewater Treatment System Policy and the Waste Discharge Requirements Program. Using engineering and regulatory skills, the incumbent evaluates, reviews, checks, and interprets permit applications, engineering reports, specifications, and monitoring data; inspects facilities; prepares reports and draft orders for Board consideration; and cooperates with internal and external colleagues on the development and strategic implementation of regulatory permit requirements.
