Air Quality Internship

Ramboll is accepting applications for the Summer 2023 internship program at our office located in Irvine/LA California or Phoenix Arizona. Each participant will be assigned a mentor who will guide them through project assignments. Our goal is to afford our intern’s experience with a variety of projects during the summer program to broaden their understanding an experience within their field of interest.

Joining Ramboll
As our new Air Quality Consultant intern, you will be part of the Air Sciences Group, which is part of Ramboll’s Environment & Health Division. This group consists of people who are passionate about air quality and assisting Ramboll’s clients with their most challenging problems. The Air Sciences Group consults with clients across various industries on a range of topics, including but not limited to emissions estimation, air dispersion modelling, human health risk assessment, climate change, climate action planning, climate adaptation/resiliency, sustainability initiatives, permitting, and compliance.
Your starting point for constant growth
From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant engineering (Environmental, mechanical, chemical), or science (environmental, atmospheric science, climate change, chemistry) degree
  • Interest in a career working with Air Quality
  • GPA of 3.5 or above
  • Graduation date of Spring/Summer 2024 for Bachelors, or December 2023 for Masters
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Preparation of air permit applications and air emissions calculations
  • Working with staff consultants to develop project air data, documents, and reports
  • Site visits to industrial facilities
  • Regulatory compliance reporting and air emission inventories
  • Special projects as directed
