Geophysics Intern

·        Conduct exploration project support work with AFME team for the Middle East and North Africa region.

·        Regional mapping, data search, data collaboration, possible use of Paleoscan software depending on dataset. Work as contributing member to project teams.

·        Duties likely to include integration of well log and other subsurface data to conduct regional scale mapping and study as well as some lead or prospect scale definition/documentation work.

·        Assist project geoscientists to compile databases for key exploration focus areas and summarize petroleum geology of country.

·        Retrieve data from company archive, digitize, rasterize and compile a database in ArcMap and Kingdom.

·        Masters’ student in Geophysics (middle of two year program)

·        Anticipated graduation date May 2024

·        Minimum of 3.0 grade point average

·        Knowledge of Structural Geology, Applied Geophysical Studies, Sedimentary or Carbonate Basins - oil and gas focus

·        Computer literacy a must- working knowledge of GIS systems a strong plus

·        Candidates with prior energy company internships preferred.

·        Familiarity with ArcMap or ArcPro a strong plus, well logs, paleo data, seismic data

·        Presentation and communication skills is a must

·        Ability to work in an integrated, multi-disciplinary team

·        Ability to manage multiple tasks & areas of responsibility concurrently
