Position Specific Description
This position will be located at Turkey Point Nuclear Power Plant.
This is an entry-level position within the Nuclear business unit. The position requires an engineering degree which allows advancement into multiple career paths. The first six months of the job include formal classroom training followed by approximately eight months of on-the-job training. Employees in this position are required to pass the POSS exam and work a rotating shift, as well as qualify as a fire brigade member.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate valves, pumps, breakers, and other components needed to safely generate power
- Attend and satisfactorily completes all job-related training
- Qualify as a fire brigade member
- Respond to and take action to mitigate plant transients
- Implement equipment clearance orders / lock out tag out process
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
