Sr. Design Manager

RES
RES is currently accepting applications for a Senior Design Division Manager for our Southeast region. Work associated with this position will occur throughout the region including work in Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama so the physical location of the position, within this region, is negotiable.

The Mission: If you are tired of working in a large traditional engineering firm where restoration is not the full time focus of the entire corporation you should join us at RES. From selecting the site to design and construction and finally monitoring phase, you’ll be in control of the whole process. Work with our own construction crews. We typically do projects measured in miles not feet. We think outside of the box in both project delivery and design. Leave the box behind and join us.

We are looking for a LEADER who can manage multiple teams of diverse disciplines, strategize business/staff planning, and carry out fieldwork; a COMMUNICATOR, who is not only able to produce accurate construction documents but also explain to a variety of audiences with varying technical understanding why particular design approaches were chosen; and a SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT in the stream/wetland restoration field who can innovate and implement solutions on challenging restoration projects.

What your day-to-day might look like?

At RES, you will not just be a task manager and don’t expect to focus solely on design work.

You will be involved in all aspects of a successful mitigation restoration project including client acquisition, land acquisition process, feasibility site visits, mitigation design plans, developing technical specifications, and directing construction personnel in the field. This also means that occasional travel is expected to visit clients or project sites.

Your division is engaged in the creation of stormwater, stream, and wetland restoration design documents so the ability to lead the production of construction design plans & specifications, soil erosion and sedimentation control plans, post-construction stormwater plans, and site restoration plans is a must.

We would love to talk to you if you have many of the following
