Human Resources Generalist

RES is looking for a Human Resources Generalist, to look after our Southeast region based out of our Raleigh, NC office.

The mission: to be HR support to the leaders of the region, including operation managers, project managers, and the GM, in the field and in the office, as a true representative of HR in front of the field crews and the office workers.
We are looking for a COMMUNICATOR, as your core relationships are as versatile as they can be, and you will have to find a common language with all; and an INDEPENDENT THINKER, who is capable to tackle day-to-day problems independently and with a great deal of initiative, all while participating in strategical planning of the region.

What your day-to-day might look like?

 
30% of your time, you will be dealing with employee relations. You will be helping the managers to address disciplinary and performance issues, address employees’ complaints and tackle any safety questions that may arise during these visits, supported by our EHS team. You will also be implementing relations practices to promote a high level of employee morale and motivation and conducting periodic surveys to measure employee satisfaction and employee engagement.
 
Note that travel is expected between the offices of the region. You will travel on a bi-weekly basis from your permanent office location, to establish a relationship with the managers but also with the construction crews located in between our offices. Some office locations include Mt. Airy, Greensboro, and Charlotte.
A great part of our crews are Spanish speakers, therefore conversational Spanish is desired.
 
40% of your time, you will be supporting the upper management of the region with HR-related policies and procedures, their elaboration, interpretation, and implementation. You will be Coordinating with the legal department to maintain compliance within the Region.
 
30% of your time, you will be working on other issues, such as training and development, compensation, and benefits, in coordination with payroll and benefits departments, and on-boarding of the new hires.

Qualifications

We would like to talk to you if you have many of the following:
  • BA/ BS in a human-resources related field
  • 3-5 years of experience as HRG or human resources coordinator
  • Experience with employee relations and policy writing
  • Recent actualization with US labor laws.
