Mid-Level Environmental Professional, AFCEC, JBSA, TX

We are looking to place a Mid-Level Environmental Engineer or Scientist to provide support to the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) Environmental Restoration Program (ERP) Optimized Remediation Contracts (ORC) strategic planning effort, which is located in San Antonio, TX.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Providing program and project-level Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) in support of ORC awards.
  • Preparation of procurement/acquisition documents, tracking of procurement schedules and activities.
  • Participation in strategic-level meetings, development of pre-award strategy, post-award project tracking.
  • Reviews of contract modifications, reviewing contractor deliverables post award (Project Management Plans, Integrated Master Schedules, and Milestone Payment Schedules).
  • Participation in Tiger Teams.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Environmental Engineering/Science or other relevant area.
  • Possess 3-10 years of experience as an Environmental Professional; knowledge of the Air Force Environmental Restoration Program is preferred.
  • Defense ERP experience with performance-based remediation (PBR) or performance-based contracts (PBC).
  • Experience in various phases of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) acquisition process, preferably related to PBR contracts.
  • Pre-award/post-award experience with tracking and monitoring PBCs.
  • Successful completion of a NACI clearance for a CAC.
  • Training or expertise in environmental remediation accomplished under CERCLA and RCRA.
  • Shall possess a working knowledge of other Field Environmental Statutes and State-Specific Regulations such as the State Environmental Protection Act and the State Administrative Code, Local Regulations and Statutes, as well as Air Force and/or DoD Environmental Regulations and documentation.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • High degree of organization and detailed documentation; maintain a high degree of organization.
  • Experience with databases and data tracking is essential. Data analyses and reporting may be required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications (Sharepoint, Word, Excel, and/or Adobe).
  • Motivated self-starters.
