Amazon Robotics empowers a smarter, faster, more consistent customer experience through automation. Amazon Robotics automates fulfilment center operations using various methods of robotic technology including autonomous mobile robots, sophisticated control software, language perception, power management, computer vision, depth sensing, machine learning, object recognition, and semantic understanding of commands. Amazon Robotics has a dedicated focus on research and development to continuously explore new opportunities to extend its product lines into new areas.

Amazon Robotics co-op opportunities will be based in the Greater Boston Area, in our two state-of-the-art facilities in Westborough and North Reading, MA. Both campuses provide a unique opportunity for interns to have direct access to robotics testing labs and manufacturing facilities. This role is a 6 month co-op to join AR full time (40 hours/week) from January - June 2023.




Job Responsibilities 
• Collaborate and partner with business teams to define and solve problems that impact customers
• Solve for standard work gaps, identify lessons learned, and propose continuous improvement with a goal of driving global deployment scalability
• Work in collaboration with Robotics Deployment Project Management Organization to drive operational excellence through process improvements and standards adherence
• Work on continuous improvement opportunities and causes of business related problems and implement novel approaches related to deployment process and forecasting
• Build relationships, perform stakeholder analysis, conduct process mapping, engagement model updates and influence other teams across organizations and external teams
• Define analytical approaches to uncover new insights and formulate data driven recommendations
• Willingness to travel various Amazon sites if required
 


Basic Qualifications 
  • Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in field of Industrial Engineering or Engineering field and interested in Project Management/PMO work and Business Analysis
  • December 2023 Graduation or later
  • Must be currently enrolled in College/University and must have at least one semester/term/quarter of school left to complete after the end of the co-op
  • Must be eligible and available for a full-time (40h / week) 6-month co-op between Jan - June 2023

 
 Preferred Qualifications 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in environments such as manufacturing, warehouses, or construction sites
  • Experience understanding and improving operational processes
  • Technical skills including familiarity with Linux, Java, XML, python, SQL, and database administration (MySQL, Oracle, etc)
  • Valid US driver license
