Scientific Program Analyst (Contractor), Clinical Genetics Branch


The Clinical Genetics Branch of the NCI Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics is seeking to recruit a scientific program analyst (contractor) to provide scientific administration to the branch. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, both oral and written, as well as a working knowledge of epidemiology, clinical research, and biostatistics.
Responsibilities will include:

  • Workshop and conference planning
  • Establishment of collaborations
  • Epidemiological study management
  • Technology transfer coordination
  • Project management
  • Strategic planning
  • Data collection and cleaning
  • Biospecimen management
  • Institutional Review Board (IRB) preparation and submissions

Eligibility

A successful candidate will have a master's degree in an academic field related to health sciences, epidemiology, or biology, OR a bachelor’s degree in an academic field related to health sciences, epidemiology, or biology AND at least two years of relevant experience.
In addition, a qualified candidate will have knowledge of or experience with most of the following software packages: Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint Online, Webex, Endnote, PubMed literature search, and statistical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R, STATA).
