We are recruiting a Sustainable Building Design Consultant who can provide technical support for new development and refurbishment projects, focusing on sustainability strategy, circular economy, embodied carbon assessments, and green building certifications. The candidate will join the company’s Sustainable Building Design advisory team and work on high impact projects at the global level to create long-term value and enhance sustainability performance for real estate development. Our Consultants manage several clients and projects simultaneously in a collaborative and collegial team-based environment.​

The Sustainable Building Design Consultant is responsible for:​
  • Developing sustainability strategies and targets for ambitious new development or redevelopment/refurbishment projects​
  • Collaborating with the client’s project design teams to implement the sustainability strategy following various KPIs​
  • Performing Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) using One Click LCA or other tools and advising on alternative low carbon products​
  • Conducting benchmark review and market analysis of materials/construction methods for low carbon developments​
  • Leading BREEAM/LEED/WELL/Fitwel assessments for design and post construction stages and providing design advice throughout the project​
  • Guiding clients and project teams through technical reporting and design option appraisals ​
  • Building and maintaining strong and long-lasting client relationships through regular communication​
  • Liaising with the business development team closely to craft new client proposals and identify additional client needs that can be met by Longevity Partners’ services​
  • Delivering accurate, high quality, and bespoke client-ready outputs on time and on budget​
  • Managing analysts and consultants through one-on-one coaching and supporting their professional development​
  • Contributing to internal efforts, as needed, to improve solutions, processes, and ways to better enhance our client and internal team experiences​
Essential Skills and Experience:​
  • 3-5 years of work experience in construction management, real estate development, add more (Consulting, architecture)​
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, Architecture, Sustainable Design, Construction Science, or a related subject​
  • Prior experience with Green Building Certifications, especially LEED BD+C or BREEAM New Construction​
  • Proven project management experience working directly with external clients who are architects, engineers, and developers​
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills combined with high precision and accuracy in written, visual, oral, and numeric work​
  • Strong analytical skills, with an ability to manage and interpret data to inform effective decision making​
  • Prior experience with performing Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) using One Click LCA for BREEAM compliance​
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, in written, visual, and numeric work​
  • Capacity to manage multiple multi-year complex assignments simultaneously​
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative​
  • Adept at producing technical, structured, concise, and meaningful reports that summarize results and justify conclusions​
  • Experience liaising with, engaging, and presenting to senior leadership​
  • Awareness of a broad range of corporate social and environmental sustainability programs and the desire to learn about them​
  • Global and cultural fluency to meaningfully engage with our diverse staff and client base and committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion​
  • Personable character with an ability to foster high-functioning relationships ​
  • Entrepreneurial, agile, adaptable, and problem solver ​
  • Passionate about tackling climate change and promoting the broader sustainability agenda through smart building and urban planning​
Desirable Skills and Experience:​
  • Master’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, Architecture, Sustainable Design, Construction Science, or a related subject​​
  • Project Management certificate​
  • Experience in initiatives such as GRESB, BREEAM, CDP, GRI, SBTi, or other similar ESG frameworks and benchmarking systems​
  • Foreign languages, especially Spanish, French, or German
