Summer Internship 2023 – Finance And Control (US)

The position
Our summer internship is a 12-week programme designed to provide the experience and skills you need in your studies and future career. Our US internship will begin on 30 May and ends on 18 August 2023. You can find out more about the programme at www.equinor.com/careers/summer-interns
The finance & control (F&C) function is the driving force behind performance and creating greater value in Equinor. The F&C function provides professional support and advice to business units and corporate executive management. We also represent Equinor in the financial markets and are responsible for the interaction with equity analysts and investors.
Some of the key responsibilities of the F&C Intern include:
- Gain exposure across a multi-national energy value chain; from natural gas, oil, and offshore wind operations, to midstream transportation, power and trading
- Actively engage with senior leadership team and work in a collaborative way across all disciplines in the F&C global organization
- Play an active role supporting finance and accounting analysis for the North America portfolio, Equinor’s largest international asset base
- Assist on special projects based on business needs and industry climate, such as data analysis, visualization, and automation
- Develop and maintain processes, procedures and improvement initiatives
You

• Currently studying for Bachelor’s, Master’s degree or Ph.D. with a strong academic record within Finance or Accounting
• Fluent in English and preferably a second working language
• Have completed at least two years of higher education before the internship programme starts (30 May 2023)
• Candidates must live in a state where Equinor currently has presence
• Candidates must have the necessary work permit for the country in which they are applying for a position. The work permits must be valid at the point of application and for the duration of the employment. • Extracurricular activities and/or voluntary work are an advantage
• Minimum GPA of 3.3 preferred
