Description
Our Accounting and Finance Department is looking for a candidate with the desire to work across a range of accounting and financial tasks. As this department is a small but growing group, the position provides many learning opportunities and is an ideal position for candidates who are organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask, and enjoy budgeting and accounting tasks. Our accounting department is located in home offices in Brookline, New Hampshire. As in-person are a regular occurence, applicants within driving distance of Brookline would be a plus, but is not essential.

Requirements

Duties
Contract Budgeting Support
  • Provide contract support by assisting with allocating hours on project budgets and developing those budgets as needed confirming accuracy and compliance with contract provisions prior to data entry
  • Provide AP Manager support on contract budget updates using ERP System Unanet and Excel in Sharepoint
Accounting Support
  • Support payroll functions including processing payroll, entering new hires, updating employee information with Paychex (tax forms, benefits, deductions, etc), and pulling quarterly Unum tax forms and submit to Paychex
  • Assisting with AP payments including completing paperwork for wire transfers and ACHs
Administration
  • Large amount of time will be spent providing administrative support to the AP Manager & VP of Accounting
  • Manage corporate cell phone accounts including equipment purchases
  • Support for various financial and contract audits
  • Train employees on timecard policy and functions in ERP system
  • Responsible for asset tracking database (keeping it up to date and accurate)
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associates degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of two years of bookkeeping/budgeting or accounting experience
  • US Citizenship (please confirm citizenship)
  • Fully vaccinated against Covid-19
Required Skills
  • Strong work ethic, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently
  • Team player who works and communicates well with others
  • Ability to work within deadlines
  • Excellent skills in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Strong budgeting skills
  • At least two-years experience in accounting or finance field
Additional Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of government contracts
